What he has achieved: As a 3 year old and newly broken in a 13yr old was riding him around without an issue. As a 4yr old he did three ribbon days and most people mistook him as a gelding and winning Reserve Champion in the last one as well many other 1st and 2nd places. As a 5yr old he competed at the Waikato Regional Dressage Champs and came 2nd in the 5yr old Championship with 62%. He did his first ever level 3 freestyle test at the Northland Regional Dressage Champs with 57.4% and at a local dressage event did his first official level 3 test with 59% and 3rd place. 2017/2018 season with a 16yr old who was learning to event with very limited competition experience -Mc Larens Falls ODE pre-training (first time doing SJ and Xcountry away from home and never done a Xcountry round). At their first ever ODE they came 2nd in the dressage and 3rd over all! -First derby (for both rider and pony), won the 85cm round and came 3rd in the 95cm. -At home he has EASILY cleared 1.15m... didn't go higher due to the rider getting nervous. (had never jumped that height before) -Did a fun cowboy challenge with another rider (without any extra training) and won it. 2018/19 season with an adult rider in the open/adult class's Tauranga A&P showjumping (60cm 2nd, 70cm 3rd, 80cm 2nd) Clevedon 2DE intro 1st dressage, 1st over Te Puke ODE pre training 4th dressage, 1st over all Hamilton ODE pre training 1st dressage, 1st over all Papatoetoe 2DE pre training 3rd over all Puhinui 2DE pre training 5th Tauranga showjumping 80cm round, 90cm jump off 1st This pony stallion is a genuine allrounder who tries his heart out with anything you throw at him. He has competed at registered dressage, show hunter and eventing, is always impeccably well behaved and been allowed at many pony club events as well due to this. You just can't fault his temperament or trainability, even comparing it to mares and geldings. And more importantly... all his foals have shown the same beautiful quiet, trainable nature. |
Genetic/breeding info:
Wake Field Heartbreaker is 13.2hh, but his dam is 14.1hh and his sire is 14hh so more likely to throw taller foals. He is grey, but carries the golden gene (born golden buckskin). So he can produce palominos, buckskins, bay, chestnut or grey and with a coloured mare can produce a coloured version of those base colours. He is incredibly quiet, good confirmation, has fantastic feet (went 2 1/2yrs without needing a trim and were in show condition) and is a very good doer. Both his parents were the same, and he throws these attributes to all his foals... even to mares with terrible feet, the foals have come out with good strong hooves. |
