I have taught Hayley-Grace for the past few years; I don’t know about her facilities, but have huge respect for her abilities, integrity and work ethic, and feel that she would be more than capable of working with and training a Kaimanawa. (Application for the 2016 Stallion Challenge)

I was recommended by a friend to consider Wake Field when requiring training for my young colt. The horse was still running with his mother at 15 months, and had very little handling, for 5 months, over the winter.
Hayley-Grace was contacted and responded immediately with positive enthusiasm and genuine interest in my young horse.
With patience, kindness and non-emotive tactics, obviously well practiced, she caught the difficult horse, taught him to load so he could travel for more training.
At times he was difficult and quite trying.
With consistent prompts and handling she gained the colt's trust and he followed her.
I could see good horse handling practices used, very like Clinton Anderson from DownUnder Horsemanship and Buck Brannaman.
I am delighted the colt has enjoyed and responded well to his education. The method and handling was well thought out and kind.
I can't thank Hayley-Grace and of course Gareth, for taking on my horse at short notice, and following through, with excellent results.

Our 8 year old daughter has been having weekly riding lessons with Hayley-Grace at Wake Field Equestrian Estate for approx 9 months.
During this time we have found Hayley-Grace to be a great instructor. She is very patient, calm and encouraging with her students. Her
skill and knowledge with horses is clear in the way the animals respond to her.
Not only has she taught our daughter to ride and become more confident on the horse but she has also taught Lainey how to collect the pony, groom and tack up, teaching her the skills she will need to care for her own horse/pony.
She is really open to sharing her knowledge.
The facilities that Hayley-Grace and Gareth provide at Wake Field are excellent.
We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Hayley-Grace to others looking for a riding instructor or trainer. Although we will miss our lessons with her very much we wish her all the best in her new venture.

I would like to give a big thank you Hayley-Grace for her amazing work with my Standardbred mare Hollie. I was having a few issues with my mare at the time when I decided to bring her to Wakefield for some training and a bit of schooling. The daily work and care that Hayley-Grace put into my mare was amazing and over the period of time she was there I could see her progress which was fantastic. Hollie went in feeling quite anxious and confused when she was asked to work, I also had a bit of trouble riding her and had some issues with ground manners, and by the time she had left Wakefield she was doing so much better. I also got to do a lesson with Hayley-Grace which helped me learn a lot more about my horse and her certain behaviours. It was really nice to have the help and support from Hayley-Grace, a very kind and knowledgable person who really made a difference. I was happy that I was welcome to see Hollie whenever I wanted while she was at Wakefield and I am glad I got to watch some of the training sessions. The facilities provided at Wakefield are excellent and its a wonderful place for horses to go. Wakefield provided my horse sufficient grazing and care, use of the arena, round pen and stables etc. Thank you to everyone at Wakefield for your help. I am very happy with my choice of sending Hollie there.

Teddy was for sale on behalf through Wake Field and I would just like to say Teddy has given my mother the confidence to hack out alone and even canter by herself. She feels safe on him and I am very grateful for this. Teddy got me back into showing and I could not ask for a safer, loving gelding. He is a credit to you and his previous owner and I look forward to the many years of fun ahead.
Upon arrival to Wake Field, Hayley-Grace had given me a lot of information regarding Ted. She took me for a hack around her grounds on Ted as well as letting me ride in her arena to see if he was right for my mother and I. When we decided to purchase him she made sure he was able to float comfortably and stayed with us when he was settling in at his new home. Fantastic communication and service! I highly recommend to anyone looking for their forever horse/pony.
Thanks again.
